About Rahim Jaffer

Rahim Jaffer is a father, small business owner, community builder, and former Member of Parliament running to bring real change to Edmonton.

Rahim served as the Member of Parliament for Edmonton–Strathcona – a diverse riding he was able to represent by working with people from all walks of life. He believes good ideas and bold solutions come from listening, collaborating, and staying focused on what works.

Today, Rahim owns and operates Rooster Kitchen & Bar, a Whyte Avenue institution that supports diners, artists, and musicians. His restaurant isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a space where people create, connect, and collaborate.

Rahim loves Edmonton but knows we’re not living up to our potential. Streets don’t feel safe. Public spaces are neglected. Buses and trains are dangerous and unreliable. Taxes are up, but results are down. And City Hall feels more disconnected than ever.

Rahim’s running for Mayor because Edmonton needs a hard reset – one focused on safety, business growth, affordability, and civic pride. His vision is a city that works for families, creators, builders, entrepreneurs, and everyday Edmontonians.

This fall, Rahim Jaffer is offering more than a new name on the ballot – he’s offering real change that works for all of Edmonton.
