Scrap Edmonton’s Blanket Rezoning Strategy

Edmonton deserves smarter growth — not a one-size-fits-all approach that bulldozes neighbourhood character, fuels local opposition, and bypasses meaningful community input. The City’s current Blanket Rezoning Strategy forces sweeping changes onto every residential lot without respecting the unique voices, needs, or visions of the people who actually live there.

We believe in thoughtful development that protects affordability and livability. That means real consultation, real accountability, and real leadership — not top-down policies that treat neighbourhoods like obstacles instead of partners.

Rahim Jaffer is standing up for residents, families, and communities across Edmonton who feel ignored and shut out of City Hall. He’s committed to scrapping the current rezoning framework and replacing it with a neighbourhood-first strategy that balances growth with community integrity, affordability with sustainability, and housing with common sense.

If you believe Edmonton needs leadership that puts people before politics — and development that works for everyone — add your name to support Rahim Jaffer and call on City Council to cancel the Blanket Rezoning Strategy.
